Through Him

Cronicles 12-14 Next was Eleazar son of Dodai the Ahohite, one of the Big Three of the Mighty Men. He was with David at Pas Dammim, where the Philistines had mustered their troops for battle. It was an area where there was a field of barley. The army started to flee from the Philistines and then took its stand right in that field—and turned the tide! They slaughtered the Philistines, God helping them—a huge victory.

Another example of God helping and making people Powerful. It states that god was helping them and then they put a dash which is pretty much saying "The rest is history". This reminds me of that verse that says "Through God I can Do anything" This Proves that.

Let's Break the Rules

Cronicles 11:4 - 6

4-6 David and all Israel went to Jerusalem (it was the old Jebus, where the Jebusites lived). The citizens of Jebus told David, "No trespassing—you can't come here." David came on anyway and captured the fortress of Zion, the City of David. David had said, "The first person to kill a Jebusite will be commander-in-chief." Joab son of Zeruiah was the first; and he became the chief.

I find this interesting. Saw JUST died for disobeying the RULE and GOD but David broke the rules. The citizens of Jebus said no tress passing but David went ahead and went in. Now you'd think what an idiot! The last king just died for breaking the rules and now you just did! But here's the loop hole. David did this through God. God wanted David to go there and out of it came a new cheif... Joab

Jesus Heals, again

Wow, it's been a long time since I've posted something what is it already September, 12 WOW! Since it's been a long time I've read pretty far now and we are at John 9. This story is called; Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind.

1As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"
"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life. 4As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."
6Having said this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man's eyes. 7"Go," he told him, "wash in the Pool of Siloam" (this word means Sent). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.
8His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, "Isn't this the same man who used to sit and beg?" 9Some claimed that he was.
Others said, "No, he only looks like him."
But he himself insisted, "I am the man."

What I don't get is, who cares if he used to be he can see, you just witnessed a miracle. You should be celebrating.

10"How then were your eyes opened?" they demanded.
11He replied, "The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see."
12"Where is this man?" they asked him.
"I don't know," he said.

Lets Recap; Theres a blind man, jesus makes him see by putting mud and spit on his eyes and tells him to go and wash up. The guy tells his "buddies" and Jesus disappears.

Very interesting story but I believe that we have to come to a close.

Jesus talks to strangers

O.K. sorry we skipped a chapter but this story is a story you learn from Sunday school, it's called; Jesus Talks With a Samaritan Woman.

1The Pharisees heard that Jesus was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John, 2although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples. 3When the Lord learned of this, he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee.
Now he had to go through Samaria. 5So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. 6Jacob's well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about the sixth hour.
7When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, "Will you give me a drink?" 8(His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.)

You got to know Jews and Samaritans didn't get along so well back then, so this was not usual. Also, If i was the Samaritan I would have said, "you have hands and feet, you go get it."

9The Samaritan woman said to him, "You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?" (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.a]">[a])

I believe that i just said that.

10Jesus answered her, "If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water."
11"Sir," the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? 12Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his flocks and herds?"
13Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
15The woman said to him, "Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water."
16He told her, "Go, call your husband and come back."

Who in the right mind would call their husband to say their getting water?

17"I have no husband," she replied.
Jesus said to her, "You are right when you say you have no husband. 18The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true."

Well, that's a fine "how do you do". The woman has no husbands, she just has 5 ex-husbands.

19"Sir," the woman said, "I can see that you are a prophet. 20Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem."
21Jesus declared, "Believe me, woman, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth."

One point for the Jews!

25The woman said, "I know that Messiah" (called Christ) "is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us."
26Then Jesus declared, "I who speak to you am he."

Lets recap. Jesus goes through Samaria and sits by a well, then a Samaritan comes through and gets water from the well, and Jesus asks for a drink. Then she talks bout how hes a Jew and they talk about the water of life. Then she say she knows that the Lord is coming and she knows that he will explain every thing. Jesus replys by say that she just did.

I believe that's it and I don't really know whats next.

Jesus has a tantrum?

This story is called: Jesus Clears The Temple and it involves Jesus getting out a whip, this is very interesting.

12
After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother and brothers and his disciples. There they stayed for a few days.
13When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14In the temple courts he found men selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple area, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16To those who sold doves he said, "Get these out of here! How dare you turn my Father's house into a market!"

I know your wondering, why did Jesus get mad and turn over tables and get a whip? There has to be a reason.

17His disciples remembered that it is written: "Zeal for your house will consume me."

So pretty much they remember that selling at the temple is a "no no".

18Then the Jews demanded of him, "What miraculous sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?"

Wait, why are they challenging a guy with a whip in their hands? This is not smart.

19Jesus answered them, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days."
20The Jews replied, "It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?" 21But the temple he had spoken of was his body. 22After he was raised from the dead, his disciples recalled what he had said. Then they believed the Scripture and the words that Jesus had spoken.
23Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Feast, many people saw the miraculous signs he was doing and believed in his name.c]">[c] 24But Jesus would not entrust himself to them, for he knew all men. 25He did not need man's testimony about man, for he knew what was in a man.

So lets recap
. Jesus comes in on a flea-market and tears it down and the people challenged him, Jesus went and told them to tear down the temple and he would rebuild it in 3 days and he does.

Well it looks like that that's the end, next is another classic, Jesus Talks To a Samaritan Woman.

The First Miracle

In John 2:1- we will be experiencing Jesus's first miracle so lets go into the beginning of the story.

1On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus' mother was there, 2and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited to the wedding. 3When the wine was gone, Jesus' mother said to him, "They have no more wine."
4
"Dear woman, why do you involve me?" Jesus replied, "My time has not yet come."

Lets stop there
At this point, you have to know that Jesus is the son of god, cause how many children do you know that would call their mother "woman". That wouldn't fly in my house.

5His mother said to the servants, "Do whatever he tells you."

Well it looks like his mother ignored Jesus. By now if that was my mom, my backside would be bruised.

6Nearby stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.
7Jesus said to the servants, "Fill the jars with water"; so they filled them to the brim.
a]"> 8Then he told them, "Now draw some out and take it to the master of the banquet."

O.k., by now I'm thinking that the people aren't going to be happy if they see that the only beverage is that nasty water, so it looks like that, that's not the end of it.

They did so, 9and the master of the banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom aside 10and said, "Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the best till now."
11This, the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed in Cana of Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

So lets review this story.
Mary comes to Jesus and tells him that there's no wine. Jesus replys with an attitude. Then he went and got water and turned it to wine. So then he gave it to the party guest.
The out come his first miracle, was to keep the party going.
YA!!!!!!

O.K. I belive that the story is finished, but next story is one of my favorites, Jesus Clears The Temple.

Starting Out

Well I'm back to making another blog, but this one is serious for me. This is really my "Bible journal". Starting out making a blog is actually just like Genesis. Lets go through it.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

In the beginning Isaac created the title and the address.

Now the earth was formless and empty,

Now the blog was formless and empty.

Lets stop there.
This is saying that the earth/ blog was actually made but, there was nothing in it.

darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.
Darkness was all over the website, and the title was hovering at the top.

And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good,
And Isaac said, "Let there be a template on the blog," and so he had to find a template and put it in his blog. Isaac saw that the template looked good,

Let's stop there.
If you compare what I had to do and what God had to do you can notice how powerful he really is. He wanted light so he just said "Let there be light" and out came light out of nowhere. Now I didn't just say let there be a template and there was one. I had to find the right template although I wonder if God chose the color of light, I wonder if he had a variety of colors to chose. Our light could of been green or pink. Maybe thats the reason why when the sun sets we see all these different colors in the sky. God might have had a little bit of paint left over and so when the sun sets the pink sets in. Anyway I had to find the right template then I had to put the template on the blog and all god had to lay back in his lazy boy with a piece of chicken in his hand and say "Let there be light".

So pretty much that was what I had to do to create this blog, but that was only the begining for Gods journey to create the world we live in. That really does show how powerful God was back then and how powerful he still is today. Well I guess that's pretty much it, This is Isaac signing off.
